Maranda Williams, a native of Camden, SC, and graduate of The University of South Carolina, has loved helping people and motivating others to realize their full potential her entire life. For the past 13 years, she has also been a professional makeup artist serving clientele including Jill Zarin from the Housewives of NY, Bloomberg Television, Titan Advertising Agency in Savannah, GA, and beauty photographers Chip Faust (owner of Universal Salon Magazine) and Tom Carson. Her work has been published in Inspire National Hair magazine, Sophisticate’s Black Hair, and Universal Salons Magazines, and she has been a creative force in the makeup direction for the Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology advertising campaigns.
Maranda has worked behind the scenes with several fashion productions at the University of South Carolina, and The Wine, Dine and Design fashion show that benefits the Walker Foundation and the School for the Deaf and the Blind of South Carolina. She has served as the Beauty Director for Columbia Fashion Week, and a beauty consultant for Naturally Crowned Carolina, South Carolina’s first natural hair beauty pageant. She continually looks for opportunities for training and development of her craft; most of her formal training has been under the Make Up For Ever cosmetic brand. She loves helping people feel better about themselves, and showing them that makeup is an art that can empower anyone!
To date, her favorite job has been being the mother of 8 year old Elijah; she credits her faith in God to the opportunities that she has been afforded, and she is optimistic on her future in the makeup and beauty industry. Maranda’s current focus the beauty industry is helping to develop new talent and she is committed to helping others realize the power this industry holds.
